Share my view from the 22nd mile of the Boston Marathon as I consider my runner's past while forging towards my fortysomething's future on the roads. There's a plethora of running advice out there. Here, not only will I share what I know about training for road racing and marathoning, but you will simultaneously see how well I take my own advice. Will my running fly or freefall? John, you may find this inspiring... hmm, I think its almost depressing. I've been looking at my PR times, compared with the front of the pack thinking "oh yeah, but look how young he/she is...! No chance now. A brush with reality is always unsettling.
